I have enjoyed these cosmetic products for some time and wanted to share a couple of new items.
I keep a Chilili lipstick in my cosmetic bag at all times, for the simple reason it gives my face a lift when tired, brightening things up making me look a bit more rested and refreshed. They repackaged this lipstick and altered the formula slightly making it even better. The lipstick is now really moist and luscious. It comes in many colors and is very reasonably priced, so you can try several for the price of one in another line.
Then, there is a terrific blush/bronzer. The consistency is light and lasting; giving you a light even glow. I love the size of the compact as it fits into any size bag. Something to try! www.vipcosmetics.com

Oval Lipomatic Lipstick: 10 Complimentary shades.
This Vitamin E formula gives a smooth, high color coverage. All fashionable colors of the day!

This is a wonderfully refreshing organic sparkling fermented tea. A beautiful change of pace for those looking to replace chemically laden sodas.
Kombucha Wonder Drink isn’t just some concoction of additives. Their list of ingredients is short, simple, and all natural. The green and oolong teas in Kombucha Wonder Drink are high in antioxidants and the kombucha helps detoxify your body.
I found it to provide an interesting sense of well-being and yet gave me a boost (only without the jitters or nervousness associated with energy drinks.)
The variety of flavors will keep you satisfied! Try it, especially in this hot weather!

For those of you that know me know that I am on a constant search for the best hair care products in varying prices. I recently discovered the Phyto line, and the statement above is the absolute truth; there’s Phyto and then there’s everything else when it comes to hair care.
They have a comprehensive product line that is formulated to treat the hair and scalp. With multiple formulations you are able to customize your routine depending upon your personal needs. Their color coded categories make it easy.
I added a diagram below from their website depicting what actually happens to your hair shaft with over processing and damaging styling tools. It is a little more expensive then I normally recommend, but have to say it is really worth it. You use only a small amount, which you will dispense onto your palm, rubbing hands together activates the ingredients and is an important part of each item. The shampoo will not reach a foamy consistency so don’t panic. Wet hair; apply a small amount after rubbing hands together apply to your hair. Rub/wash and rinse; then do the same thing again. Once you rinse the second time dispense a small amount of the conditioner, rub your hands together and apply to wet clean hair. With a wide tooth comb, comb thru your hair and let sit for 3 minutes. Rinse and style. There a several different products to consider for styling depending upon the look you are trying to achieve. Again, with each one, activate by rubbing your hands together before applying to hair.
If you decide to give this line a try make sure that you use only this line and do not rotate your products for 2 months. I know you will love the difference in your hair!
PHYTO Product Line
Color Treated Hair:
The hair fiber is weakened and the ends become flaky. Hair coloring, bleaching and perming are used to make hair more beautiful, however, even advanced formulations and applications sometimes leave hair dry, damaged, and lackluster. These techniques are based on chemical reactions that modify the hair structure, and despite careful neutralization, remaining alkalinity can persist. Hair scales remain open leading to a loss of radiance and poor color fixation.
The PHYTO Solution: Close and smooth the hair scales using the acidity of citrus fruit to soften, nourish, and provide UV protection for hair.

Don’t you just love the ads for mascara???? They all claim to make your lashes long and lush; showing you just how long they can be when they zoom in to show you the results. . . the only problem with the ads is that ALL of the models are wearing FALSE eye lashes! Now, false eyelashes look terrific and are fun to wear. . . . and they do make your eyes look terrific but there is NO way to get that volume without them. Having tried just about everything on the market the L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara comes in at a close second.
There are several variations in this line; the “Naturale” is a nice quality but will not give you the volume you are looking for. I would stick to the original one shown below.

L’Oreal Voluminous Naturale Mascara 395 Blackest Black
Will give you a natural, clump-free lash; but lacks in volume.
Smudgeproof, flakeproof and fragrance-free. Water-resistant. Ophthalmologist and allergy tested. Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara, Carbon Black
This is the one you want for the look of thick lashes. It will give you a more dramatic effect.
- Ophthalmologist and allergy tested
- Suitable for sensitive eyes and contact wearers
- Clump-resistant
- Fragrance-free

Although there were several pretty ladies there was no contest when it came to the very best dressed on the red carpet. Katherine Heigl takes the prize. She looked like a movie star, not only was the color beautiful but the classic lines and fit made her a standout. She is naturally beautiful . . . . but last night she was incredibly beautiful!
Katherine Heigl in red at the Oscars

Now, what was she thinking?
…I really hate to be critical when it comes to an individual’s particular taste; after all it is subjective . . . . except in this case. There is really no accounting for this choice. There are other ways to stand out without making Cruella look like Coco Chanel. This dress looked like it was designed by someone on “crack”. I feel so sorry for her; she will see these photos for the rest of her life as being one of the “worst” dressed in Oscar history. The less is more is something that she should have tattooed on her body as a reminder for the next event. I’m really sorry Rebecca . . . . you are such a pretty lady, you deserve better.

What a game! Record breaking viewers! . . . . . which brings me to something related to my normal speech about looking good; what was up with those helmets and jerseys????
Gentlemen, please . . . I realize that NE wore blue and white but it is still not an excuse not to be coordinated when everyone on the planet was watching! Now that you are indisputably number one how about looking the part and trying a new look?????
OK, so I’m kidding (even though I did have a bit of a fit when I saw them and their helmets didn’t match); relax. I just couldn’t resist the comment. I was so blown away by their performance that they could have been wearing brown bags and it wouldn’t have mattered. We will all be talking about Eli Manning for years to come!
Way to go!
